Young Alfred

Young Alfred is an online marketplace to compare and buy personal insurance. It uses data and machine learning to identify customer risks and needs prior to presenting custom recommendations. Its platform is used to shop, bind, and manage coverage.

Young Alfred has direct partnerships with over 30 insurance carriers and is licensed in 50 states.

In October 2019 young Alfred raised a $10m Series A, led by Google's Gradient Ventures. Pear Ventures, ETA and Newfund Capital also participated. The funding will be used to hire new staff in the engineering, sales and business development departments, and scale its marketing efforts.

The startup has also stated it plans to release a 'Stripe-like' API for partners looking to add P&C to their suite of consumer product offerings.
