Their first product, the WyzeCam, is a high quality smart home camera, packed with features, including 1080p full HD video, and smart motion and sound alerts. Following their investment round in 2019, the company introduced Wyze Sense - a security kit that includes contact and motion sensors. The new kit can be paired with the Wyze Cam and comes with four components: the bridge, which plugs into the back of the Wyze Cam, two contact sensors and one motion sensor.
In July 2019, Wyze Labs announced that it was partnering up with Xnor.ai to bring artificial intelligence-powered person recognition capabilities to Wyze’s catalogue of smart home devices. Through a firmware update to existing devices, Wyze’s cameras will now be able to automatically identify when people appear in the field of view.
The company now sells a wide variety of products, from smart lightbulbs to scales.
In late 2019 Wyze revealed that it had suffered a data leak, risking the personal information of 2.4m customers. It produced a detailed report of the incident for customers.
In 2020, Wyze partnered with Noonlight to integrate an emergency service dispatch feature into some of its products.
In July 2020 the company raised $15m to expand its product offerings and adapt to the Covid-19 pandemic.
