TrackActive

TrackActive is a UK-based InsurTech startup harnessing innovative tech, evidence-based health info and specialist advice to help improve musculoskeletal health and wellbeing. As a result, the company says it could save health insurers billions of pounds sterling each year.

Established in 2013, their B2B2C offering includes a practitioner-driven exercise content delivery and monitoring platforms, TrackActive Pro, a chatbot-driven musculoskeletal self-help and wellbeing application, TrackActive Me, and evidence-based exercise content licensing. Today, their solutions are being adopted in 12 countries worldwide.

In 2017, TrackActive was named one of 10 companies to participate in Startupbootcamp's Insurtech accelerator program in London, which resulted in a collaboration partnership with Gen Re and establishing a series of pilots.

In 2019, the startup revealed it was on target to raise the £300k it needs in seed funding after it partnered with Gen Re, lead investor HR Tech Partnership, and other angel investors through Seeders. As part of the new alliance, TrackActive has recently started closed beta testing with the Insurance Australia Group.

When all seed funding is in place, the company plans to further develop its AI-enabled TrackActive Me product, which will use digital technologies to “reinvent” the way healthcare insurers interact with their members and health care providers. This means mobile and web apps, online portals, connected devices, sensors, and AI-based technologies that help to expand the value chain of a payor organisation into health care delivery.
