Lapetus Solutions Inc. (LSI) uses a combination of AI and machine learning-powered sensory analytics and life science tools to give real-time insights into health, evaluate risk and even predict when a customer is being untruthful about their bad health habits.

LSI’s tools can provide lifespan estimations, mortality trends, and trend analysis on insured populations by taking into account multiple branches of science, including genetics, molecular biology, embryology and more. The venture, founded in 2014, currently has three customer engagement platforms that provide end-to-end tailored solutions for insurance and financial planning industries. CHRONOS uses biodemography, facial analytics and dynamic questioning (variable questionnaires that adapt to responses given) to improve the underwriting process, whilst BLISS is a life event-based financial scoring and planning tool. JANUS, LSI’s newest platform, is a facial analytics tool that can determine health factors from just a selfie, helping insurers with the quoting, application and purchasing processes.

LSI are currently developing JANUS to detect chronic diseases as well as alcohol and smoking habits. The platform, which is currently in trial mode, can be integrated into existing processes and systems via its API.

In 2017 LSI was selected to join Plug and Play’s Insurtech Innovation Platform. The accelerator went on to invest in LSI’s Seed round alongside other undisclosed investors.

In April 2021 LSI was selected to take part in Max Life Innovation Labs second cohort.
