LähiTapiola overview

LähiTapiola Group is a group of companies owned by customers, based on mutual company form, that serves personal, farm, entrepreneurial, corporate and community customers. LähiTapiola's products and services cover damage, life and pension insurance, as well as investment and saving services. The company is also a specialist in corporate risk management and employee well-being.

LähiTapiola officially started operations on 1.1.2013. In addition to LähiTapiola Non-life Insurance and regional companies, the Group consists of LähiTapiola Life Insurance Company, LähiTapiola Asset Management, LähiTapiola Property Management and LähiTapiola Services Ltd. The Group's pension insurance partner is Elo and banking services are provided by S-Bank.

LähiTapiola's regional companies network consists of 20 regional mutual insurance companies. LähiTapiola employs 3,500 people, of whom about half work in regional companies. There are nearly 1.5 million owners.

In July 2019, LähiTapiola announced that it was partnering up with GROHE to offer a water safety system to home insurance policyholders. The insurer expects to install the GROHE Sense systems to more than 100k homes by 2026.
