Hero Laboratories develops technologies that help prevent water leaks. Sonic by Hero Labs detects, prevents and stops freshwater leaks, throughout a whole property using AI and HD Ultrasonic technology.

Hero Labs is currently working on its first product, Sonic, a smart leak detection system. Sonic aims to prevent fresh water from being wasted through leaks, as well as help people conserve water by giving them helpful hints and tips about which appliances are using the most water through a mobile app, so they can make greener decisions.

Hero Labs raised secured £2.5 million in July 2019. The Seed funding round was led by Earthworm Group, an environmental fund manager, with further support from a £300,000 EU innovation grant and private investors. This funding will allow Hero Labs to accelerate development of its flagship product, Sonic.

Hero Labs launched a home insurance brand, Hiro. With discounts on offer to those with IoT-based protection for their homes, and access to discounts on further devices, the new insurtech will place prevention at the heart of their offering and launch in 2021.

Hero Labs was founded by Krystian Zajac, the former co-founder and CTO of Neos in 2018 and is headquartered in London.
