Backed by Zurich, Farmers have served the American people for over 90 years, and has grown to be one of the nations most trusted sellers of insurance coverage. Operational across the automobile, property and small sized business insurance market, they have managed to serve over 10 million households, selling almost 19 million policies in the process, across 50 American states.
They also boast a high-quality customer service team with 24-hour support available to clients. This offers users advice on anything they want to know related to insurance. In addition to this, they have a ‘discounts’ page which provides long-standing customers with money off certain policies, or for new customers, discounts if purchasing multiple policies.
At the beginning of 2019, ride-hailing startup, Alto, announced they had formed an alliance with Farmers to provide commercial auto insurance to its customers.
Farmers Insurance partnered with Zesty AI in June 2021, integrating Z-FIRE, their wildfire risk scoring model, into its homeowners insurance underwriting processes. The Z-FIRE risk scoring model is a proprietary predictive risk evaluation platform that leverages high-resolution imagery, building and weather data, and AI to identify property attributes that may impact the level of a property's wildfire risk.
