In 2019, its branch launched a comprehensive cyber insurance package (CyberOne), in partnership with Chubb, that covers such areas as trauma counselling, legal consultation and action, and tech support. Later that year, they would also band together with Sun Life Hong Kong and use the HKMA's Faster Payment System (FPS) to enable insurance claimants to submit hospitalisation and accident claims using the eClaims feature on the My Sun Life HK app. The catch? You have to be a DBS Bank Hong Kong customer, as the process makes use of and DBS’ Application Programming Interface (API) solution, IDEAL RAPID, to facilitate real-time payment.
